Visual Culture-Studio
Visual Culture" studies recognizes the predominance of visual forms of media, communication, and information in the postmodern world.
To me visual culture is making people aware of the things around you through a visual medium.
What we see, influences us a lot. Everyone sees a particular object or image differently. This depends on their mindset, their age, their culture and the way they have been raised.
For example, if we show a white cloth to a Hindu, it might remind them of death or peace. While the same cloth shown to a Christian, might remind them of wedding. However, this may vary from person to person.
Colors too remind people of different emotions and memories. For some red may be the color of love while for others it may be related to anger or a tragic memory symbolizing blood. Some people may just think of red as a color and not relate it to any emotion.
